How can I fit this into my day?
Great question! We're all overbooked already. Videos are all about 5 minutes or less. And tasks are all clear, simple and doable. Results are measurable. Make no mistake, this is not magic. It takes work. This is not the lazy man's quick fix. This is the real deal. I'm laying all the cards on the table because every time I've had a client do the work. It's worked.
Do you have to eat vegetarian/vegan?
No. But the closer you get to fully plant-based, the quicker and more dramatic your results will be. The nutrition protocol is 'plant-strong', meaning primarily plant based, but animal products are fine in moderation. I have 2 distinct protocols: 1) eating to lose and, 2) eating to maintain. We'll cover both in detail with practical, step-by-step instructions for success.
Is running required?
Absolutely not! Exercise, however...absolutely! I'm a big fan of HIIT, because you get the most bang for your buck. Nobody I know has the time to spend even an hour a day in the gym! So we hit it hard, at home (or in the gym if you like) in less time than it takes to watch Meet the Press!
Is NEW STRENGTH just for Christians, church-goer, and do-gooders?
Absolutely not! New Strength is openly faith-based, and the point-of-view is Christian, but open to any and all, including atheist. But because faith is integral to the entire program, New Strength will probably not be a good fit for folks not interested in exploring fitness in the context of their faith, and that's totally fine. If that's not where you're at, it's best not to sign up. It's important to me, as a Christian, to be open about the way my faith and fitness are in many ways, two sides of the same coin. I don't separate my faith from my fitness, and the relationship is complex, robust, and one of the keys to 'unlocking the secret' of sustainable fitness. A guiding principle of New Strength is that these 6 areas—lean, fit, energized, focused, connected, involved—all contribute to lasting, meaningful change...to fitness. We get into trouble when we focus on one area and neglect others. This is not meant to seem overwhelming. Each of the 6 areas is a 'practice' and as such, the focus is on progress, not perfection. Meditation is a practice, as is prayer, and exercise, and nutrition, etc. Simply put, if you're seeking God, or are curious about the whole 'faith and fitness' concept and come with an open mind, then the program is absolutely for you.
